I saw Ali for a 2 hour session to stop smoking. I’m 60 now and had smoked for over 40 years, and was starting to get serious health problems.
Really I didn’t want to stop but my doctor made it clear that carrying on was not an option. I was really surprised when talking to Ali about what he calls ‘the smoking trap’ – I thought I enjoyed them but Ali made me realise that it’s the way the nicotine addiction works – it didn’t feel good thinking of myself as having a drug habit.
